The Lightning That Fires Up, Not Down

About this video

Above every large thunderstorm, lightning fires upward into space. Not sideways, not down to the ground. Up, through the stratosphere, reaching altitudes where the atmosphere is barely there at all. Pilots reported it for most of a century and were quietly told they were mistaken. The first photograph was an accident.
