The Sun Gets Hotter as You Move Away From It

About this video

The visible surface of the Sun sits at about five and a half thousand degrees. The corona above it reaches one to three million. Heat is flowing away from the fire and getting stronger on the way out, and that should not happen. The leading idea is nanoflares - magnetic field lines braiding around each other until they snap and dump their energy. In laboratories, physicists have recreated the effect. So nanoflares are real. What nobody has shown is that there are enough of them to heat a whole corona.
